Located at A. M. Naik Heavy Engineering Complex at Hazira, Surat, this manufacturing complex comprises the Armoured Systems Complex -  a 50-acre, green-field state-of- the-art facility created to manufacture, integrate and test advanced Armoured Platforms for the military. This ultra-modern complex comprises 320-metre-long shops (with two bays of 30 metres and 15 metres width) with in-house Robotic Hull & Turret Welding, CNC Machining, System Assembly & Integration and a Special Purpose Mobility Test Track to roll out the entire armoured platform.

The Armoured Systems Complex was dedicated to the Nation by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, on 19th January, 2019. The facility also comprises heavy fabrication shops for fabrication of submarine hulls.

The Strategic Systems Complex at Talegaon (near Pune, Maharashtra) is dedicated to the production of combat engineering systems - bridging systems, radar systems, propulsion shafting, etc. It comprises three Assembly and Integration shops and a variety of test facilities to cater to the testing and trials of the systems.

The L&T Strategic Electronics Centre at Bengaluru focuses on communications and C4I systems, simulators, electronics, avionics and chemical agent detectors. It has the skilled workforce and precision assembly shops need for high end electronics assembly and testing.

PMSC is a one-stop solution provider in the domain of ‘Things that Fly’. The integration of modern technology with robust manufacturing processes at this facility has helped L&T achieve global standards in every parameter - quality, speed, safety, efficiency.

This sprawling 52-acre facility caters to Build-to-Spec and Build-to-Print requirements. Core areas of expertise include a dedicated Aerospace Design Centre (ADC), efficient Programme & Project Management, and Global Procurement & Sourcing. The facility houses dedicated hi-tech & digitalised manufacturing entities at component level (Precision Machining, Heat Treatment, Surface Treatment, Advance Composites, Additive Manufacturing); at sub-system level (Heavy & Light Precision Fabrication & Sub-system Testing & Validation); and at system level (Assembly, Integration, Testing, Trials & Through Life Support).

The entire complex along with the ecosystem are as per global defence & aerospace standards in safety, quality, security & environmental commitments.

L&T has set up a state-of-the-art shipyard on India’s east coast at Kattupalli, near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The ultra-modern, greenfield, mega shipyard has a dedicated design centre for warships. The shipyard has multiple dry berths and wet berths that enable concurrent construction and repairs of multiple vessels. It also enables modular construction of ships.

The facility is equipped with the highest capacity ship-lift in the country, designed and built by L&T and certified by Lloyd’s Register.
